Gift Aid

Gift Aid which enables the trust to receive an additional 28% on all donations made by UK tax payers, at no additional cost to yourself.

If you would like to complete a gift aid declaration, please download this pdf form to print, complete and return to us with your cheque. (A free PDF reader can be downloaded here if you don’t already have one.)
It should be noted that:

1. You must pay an amount of Income tax and/or Capital Gains tax at least equal to the tax that the charity reclaims on your donations in the tax year (currently 28p for each £1 you give).
2. You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying the Ocean Stars Trust in writing.
3. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further relief in your Self Assessment Tax Return.
4. If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid Relief, please ask Ocean Stars, or ask your tax office for Leaflet IR65.
5. Please notify Ocean Stars if you change your name or address.
6. We can claim retrospectively from donations already made. So whether or not you wish to continue to donate, completing the Gift Aid declaration will be very advantageous to Ocean Stars. We would advice you to fill in option 4 on the form as this saves us having to fill in a form each time a donation is made.
