Awaiting funding for projects
The 70 children who attend this nursery come from very poor families. Some do not have a cooked meal every day. Rev Ranchan asked Ocean Stars if we could fund a lunch project for these children.
This nursery has 28 children and Ocean Stars sponsors the wages of the two teachers.
60 Children attend this playgroup started by Nilanthi at a small hall next to Kurumanvely Methodist Church.
40 children. This project has been running for just over a year now and the teachers have seen a great difference in the children’s demeanour and health since it started. Ocean Stars is looking for new funding for this project.
50 Children attend this very popular playgroup.
This playgroup serves a very isolated community consisting of 53 Hindu families. The parents take it in turns to prepare the lunch for the children and Ocean Stars it looking for new funding for this project.
This playgroup has 45 children and two teachers whose wages are paid by Ocean Stars. There is also a lunch project which is looking for new funding.
